Philishave/Norelco 3-Head Rota Action Shavers
« Thread started on: Apr 5th, 2003, 12:27pm »

Is there any place that I can still get a Philishave/Norelco 3-Head Rota Action shaver? I am hesitant to try one of the new lift and cut systems, as I have a feeling that it may be harsh on my very sensitive skin. Will Philishave/Norelco re-release the Rota Action line of shavers anytime soon?

Unfortunately, Philips has no plans of re-introducing the 2000 series Rota Action shavers. You could try to search engines to see if anyone still has one to sell. One I found is at
http://www.a1shoppingchannel.com/personal.html
another is at...

There may be others. I hope this helps.

Back when I was thinking about getting my Philishave HS555 Rota Action razor repaired, Hans Nonchen of the Mercury Shaver Centre advised me to buy a refurbished HQ2425 from him instead to save money. You could check with the Mercury Shaver Centre via email and see if they still make the refurbished HQ2425 razors available.

Space Cadet --

I sent an email to Mercury Shaver Centre this morning about the Philishave HQ2425 Rota Action razor. Just as I thought, they do have a few refurbished ones left. They're selling them for $39.95.

I've also thought of something else you could try. The Remington rotary razors do not have the Lift and Cut system, so you could buy a Remington rotary. They're readily available. Let us know your choice of razor once you decide to buy.

Thanks for the advice, Jim and Gary. I bought a refurbished Philishave HQ2425 shaver from Mercury Shaver Center. It arrived today, in fact. I'll give you a further report once I use it for a month.

Hello.

I know it's been longer than a month since I bought my Philishave HQ2425 Rota Action shaver, but I just wanted to let you know that I am very happy with it. It feels good in my hand, it's very solid, and most importantly, the shave it gives is very close and comfortable. The first couple of weeks, there was some irritation and redness, but this didn't last long. I am now a believer in the Philishave/Norelco shaving systems. Thanks again to Jim and Gary for the assistance.
